The “NQ Invite” is the chance for us Northerners to share and showcase our gaming efforts to the whole of QLD by inviting them to a central location in Rockhampton. Poling resources from WW40k Townsville and Brisbane’s, Away Teams; this event will centre on founding the blocks for an annual large scale event which will as of 2013 also include a NQLD Masters event alongside an open event for Warhammer 40k 6th Edition. 2012 will be used to test the waters and take the opportunity to raise some money for the WW40k Chosen Charity – Legacy Australia.
Legacy Australia looks after the families of Soldiers who have not returned from service. Our previous events have seen money go toward the “Young Explorers”; a group of kids and teenagers whose fathers have not returned from recent conflicts overseas. Money from this event will be combined with money raised from the Tropicarnage Series to help replace a fence at “Legacy Lodge” a home for elderly war widows.
