COWCON 2011 - ROAD TRIP TO ROCKHAMPTON :)
As usual another busy quarter.
Firstly apologies for the delay in updating. I recently had my second child and it was a pretty intense time leading up to his arrival, both at work and at home, and it also messed up the gaming front a little, but we got some dice rolling none-the-less.
Tropicarnage Four (Townsville )was brought forward to September in lieu of travelling to Rockhampton due to the possible arrival of the new baby (good thing we did too as he arrived early - only a few days after the event.
This was the end of the Tropicarnage series for 2012, with a big congrats to Dean Vincent taking out Tropic Four after some hard fought games and cementing his position as the overall winner of Tropicarnage and the owner of a cool chainsword for 2012.
It was also our first 6th edition 40k event, which worked quite well, with only minor tweaking needed for next year.
Thanks to the efforts of gamers over the last few Tropic events and from teh efforts of Tropic Four, I was able to hand over another cheque to Legacy for $1000. A grand total of $2300 overall for the year from Tropicarnage alone -from me and Legacy thank you very much.
The rest of the year does not see us slowing down.
The evening of 27th October will see a novelty 40k doubles event in Townsville; November will see a Legacy Charity WHFB Teams event held in Ipswich (Brisbane) and again this year WW40k will join forces from all around Australia in Townsville to pool our expertise and equipment to sponsor and host the Defence Force Championships on behalf of the ADFWGA.
For those unaware of the ADFWGA - head on over to www.adfwga.com.
The ADFWGA is a Defence Group who also focus on raising money for Legacy. Last year saw approx $4000 donated. This year's gatherings are already underway with as website running accepting donations from anybody who wishes to help the cause.
Please help us all spread the word.

That is all for now.
Cheers and good gaming
